About LoanCalc.click
Last updated 20 July 2026
LoanCalc.click is a small, independently run site offering free loan calculators. There is no account to create, no email to hand over, and no personal or financial information is collected. Every calculation happens in your browser.
Who runs this
This is a one-person project, not a company or a publisher with an editorial department. The calculators were built and are maintained by a single operator. Saying so matters, because financial sites often imply an authority structure that does not exist, and you should weigh what you read here accordingly: the arithmetic is verifiable and the commentary is one person's reading of publicly available guidance.
Corrections are welcome and get fixed. If you find a calculation that disagrees with your lender's disclosure, please get in touch — that is the most useful message this site can receive.
What the calculators actually do
All four use the standard annuity formula for fixed-rate, equal-payment amortizing loans, and each adds one calculation specific to its category:
- The general loan calculator gives the monthly payment, total interest and full amortization schedule for any fixed-rate loan, plus a rate-sensitivity comparison.
- The auto loan calculator handles sales tax, trade-in and fees, then tracks the loan balance against a vehicle depreciation curve to estimate when negative equity ends.
- The personal loan calculator solves iteratively for the effective APR once an origination fee is deducted from the proceeds, and compares that against paying the same balance down with credit card minimums.
- The student loan calculator models interest accruing in school and during the grace period, and what it costs once capitalized.
What they do not do
Being specific about limits is more useful than a broad disclaimer:
- No income-driven repayment. The student loan calculator does not model IDR plans or forgiveness. Those depend on income, family size and program rules rather than balance alone, and the rules change. Use the official calculator at StudentAid.gov.
- No variable rates. Everything here assumes the rate is fixed for the full term.
- No interest-only or balloon structures, and no daily-accrual balances.
- Depreciation is an estimate. The auto calculator uses a generic curve. Real depreciation depends on make, model, mileage and condition.
- Nothing here is a quote. Default values shown are broad market ranges for illustration, not offers, and not predictions of what any lender will give you.
Where the numbers come from
The formulas are standard and can be checked against any amortization reference or your lender's own schedule. Where the site describes how a loan product works — capitalization rules, fee disclosure requirements, minimum payment formulas — the underlying sources are federal regulators and official programme sites: the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and StudentAid.gov. These are linked inline where relevant rather than listed as a bibliography.
This site does not publish live rate data. Any rate mentioned is illustrative. For current rates, check lenders directly.
Not financial advice
LoanCalc.click is not a lender, broker or financial advisor, and nothing on it is personalised advice. The calculators produce estimates from the numbers you type in. For a decision that matters, the authoritative documents are your lender's loan disclosure and, if you want guidance, a licensed professional who knows your situation.
Privacy and how the site is funded
No names, Social Security numbers, income figures or financial data are collected. Calculator inputs stay in your browser and are never sent to a server. The site is funded by contextual advertising through Google AdSense, which sets its own cookies — the privacy policy covers what that involves. No lender pays for placement or favourable mention anywhere on this site.
